STUDENT PROGRAMS

Reading Club

Students in Kindergarten-5th grade participate in weekly 30-minute reading sessions at our community center. Each student will have a copy of the chosen book provided to them by BFT and they will engage and interact with other readers to build on reading and comprehension skills.

Thrive

Students in middle school and high school have the opportunity to engage in a social group to explore topics relevant to them. This is a chance for them to socialize with other students within their community; building lifelong friendships and learning beneficial life skills.

Tutoring

Our homework lab provides support and encouragement to students in 1st through 5th grade while completing their homework assignments. Many kids are excited to do their homework when they have an adult helping them along.

Mentoring

Students in Elementary, Middle School and High School are faced with stressful situations daily, generally without the guidance of a positive community role model in their lives other than teachers. Mentorship with a safe and trusted adult is proven to have a positive impact on students academically, socially, and emotionally.
